Questions about this charger
What exactly do I receive?
One PowerPod Lite 7.4 kW with a Type 2 connector on a 5 m captive cable, and one PowerPod Lite 3.3 kW with a 16 A 3-pin socket. Each comes with its own RFID card, wall bracket and fixings.
Why two different chargers rather than two of the same?
Most homes do not need two fast bays. The 7.4 kW charges the main car at roughly 40-45 km of range per hour; the 3.3 kW handles a second car overnight, or a two-wheeler, from its own portable cable. Paying for two 7.4s when one bay sits idle is money wasted.
How much does the pair save?
10% off the two units together. Bought separately they come to the price shown struck through.
What supply do I need?
Both run on a normal single-phase 230 V domestic supply. The 7.4 kW needs a 32 A circuit and the 3.3 kW a 16 A circuit, so your electrician will usually run two dedicated circuits from the board.
Will they work with my cars?
The 7.4 kW works with any EV that has a Type 2 inlet, which covers the Tata Nexon EV, Tiago EV and Punch EV, MG ZS EV and Comet EV, Mahindra XUV400, Hyundai Kona, BYD Atto 3 and Citroen eC3. The 3.3 kW has a 3-pin socket, so it works with anything that came with a portable charging cable, including electric two-wheelers.
Do they need Wi-Fi, an app or a subscription?
No. The Lite range has no Wi-Fi, no 4G and no cloud backend. Tap an RFID card or just plug in, and there is nothing to manage or pay for monthly.
Can I install them myself?
They should be fitted by a licensed electrician. We offer installation as a paid add-on, quoted per site, and fitting both in one visit is usually cheaper than two separate visits.
Can I buy two of the same instead?
This pair is the 7.4 kW and 3.3 kW together. For two identical chargers, email hello@riod.in and we will quote.
What warranty do they carry?
Each charger carries its own 2-year manufacturer warranty from RIOD India. For warranty support, email support@riod.in with your order number.
Can I return the pair?
Yes, within 7 days, if both chargers are unused and in their original packaging.
