Terms of service

Who can order

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. By ordering you confirm the information you give us is accurate and that the delivery address is one you are entitled to use.

Products and specifications

We describe our chargers as accurately as we can, and the specifications published on each product page are the ones we build to. Photographs are representative; finish and packaging may vary slightly. Charging speed depends on your vehicle's onboard charger and your electrical supply, not on the charger alone, so the figures we publish are typical rather than guaranteed for every vehicle.

We may change or discontinue a product at any time without notice. We do not warrant that any product will remain available.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Indian Rupees and include GST unless stated otherwise. Prices exclude installation, which is quoted separately. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

Payments are processed by Razorpay, which supports UPI, cards, net banking, wallets and EMI, subject to that provider's own terms and your bank's eligibility rules. Cash on delivery may be offered on some orders.

If a price or specification is published in error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after the order is confirmed. We will tell you before we do.

Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we dispatch the goods. We may refuse or cancel an order, including where stock is unavailable, where we suspect fraud, or where the price was wrong. Any payment taken for a cancelled order is refunded in full.

Delivery, returns and warranty

Delivery terms are in our shipping policy. Return rights are in our refund policy. Every charger carries a 2-year manufacturer warranty from RIOD, which covers manufacturing defects and is separate from your return rights.

The warranty does not cover damage from incorrect installation, tampering, unauthorised repair, supply faults outside the charger's rated limits, or use outside the product's stated environmental ratings.

Installation and electrical safety

The price of a charger covers the unit only. Installation is a separate service, quoted per site.

Our chargers connect to mains electricity and must be installed by a licensed electrician, in accordance with applicable Indian electrical regulations and the installation instructions supplied. Where you arrange your own installer, that installer is responsible for their work, and RIOD is not liable for loss or damage caused by installation we did not carry out, by an unsuitable supply, or by earthing that does not meet the product's requirements.

OEM, ODM, SKD and CKD supply

Manufacturing, white-label and kit supply are not retail sales and are not governed by these terms. They run under a separate written agreement covering specification, tooling, quantities, intellectual property, certification and warranty. Nothing on the OEM and ODM pages of this site is an offer capable of acceptance.

Your use of this site

You may not use this site for any unlawful purpose, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, scrape it systematically, or transmit malicious code. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe you have done so.

Intellectual property

RIOD and PowerPod are trade marks of RIOD Logic Pvt Ltd. Site content, product designs, control card designs and firmware belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or reverse engineer them except as the law permits.

Third-party links and services

This site links to third-party services, including payment, delivery, scheduling and messaging providers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices. Your dealings with them are between you and them.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under Indian law, including your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of the use of a vehicle, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Privacy

How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force when you place an order is the version that applies to it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Kerala, India have jurisdiction. Nothing here limits a consumer's right under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 to bring proceedings where they reside.
